Cosmopolitan Manifesto

Cosmopolitan Party Manifesto

Immigration

Our policies for immigration are

· To control immigration levels by increasing border security.
· To locate all illegal immigrants and give them the opportunity to go through the citizenship process to become a British citizen.
· We also believe that in order to work for British organisations and companies within England employees must be legal citizens, and therefore the appropriate training will also be provided.
· We also want to enforce the Australian point system for immigration.

Tax and Economy

Our policies for tax and economy are

We believe that people under the age of 18 should no longer be taxed for national insurance unless they go into full time employment after school at 16.
We would keep the income tax at the same rate because it provides 29% for all the money made through government tax. You can currently earn £4,754 tax free; however we would want to increase this number to £5000 before becoming taxed. This means you can earn more before you are taxed.
We want to cut taxes to become 30% of the economy, which means people will have to pay less on tax.

Caring for the elderly

Our policies for the elderly are

Restore the link between the state pension and earnings by 2012 and increase pension credit in line with earnings.
Continue to give older people Winter Fuel Payments, concessionary public-transport fares, free eye tests prescriptions, free TV licences for the over-70s
Give older people the right to request flexible working, if they wish to look after grandchildren

Health

Our policies for the health are

In order to promote healthy living we want more advertisements for healthy food and fitness on the internet and T.V
Make people more aware of diseases that can kill and suggest ways that people can prevent obtaining them.
Have a limit on how many drugs people can buy, unless the person has a prescription.

Crime

Guarantee an initial response to any complaint about anti social behaviour within 24 hours and give complainers a named case worker who will report back on progress.
Annual fitness tests for police officers.
Give local people a vote on what community service offenders should do.

Education and Young People

Replace National Curriculum with a Minimum Curriculum Entitlement to allow teachers more flexibility.
Scrap university tuition fees over six years.
Expand apprenticeships by up to 70,000 a year.
Create education standards authorities to monitor the school standards throughout the country

Environment

To produce more hydropower turbines and put them in big rivers and seas to make energy that will do small amounts of damage to the environment, thus creating more jobs available for our citizens.
To introduce the hydro-powered car so hardly any pollution will be released in to the atmosphere. In doing this, we must also introduce hydro stations in petrol stations.
To invest more money in nature reserves.
